Live from Cairoston

On arbitrary classifications

Age, wealth, education, gender, and religion are meaningless modes of classification when assessing maturity. Rather it is an ability to see and acknowledge the invisible foundations of one’s perspective that constitutes a “before and after.” Of the amusements of life is sitting with a learned expert in their sixties, and see them cling, like a child, to the bosom of their perspective, as if the world sprouts from that single dark nipple. They never even notice the other nipple right next to it.

We are all in need of that initial push, but we may die before growing beyond it.
