Live from Cairoston

Memoirs of an ailing King

There was a lady I fancied. So I took one step forward. I saw a man guarding her and I was taken by fear. Then I gathered my courage and took another step forward, struck him down and then took a third step to my lady. devastated by the death of her father, her smile begot fangs, her eyes bled and her singing turned into thunderous cursing. The lady became a bat!
I tallied my success: three steps forward, fear defeated, and false beauty exposed.
Years later I reigned supreme in a world of bats. I live my last days synthesizing beauty for posterity to expose.
